DRIVE

Interstate 5 is the primary north/south transportation route through the Mt Shasta Cascade region. To reach McCloud from I-5 take Exit 736 –SR 89 – McCloud, Reno, Lassen National Park and travel east about 10 miles.  SR 89 is a popular segment of the Volcanic Legacy Scenic Byway passing through the waterfall region of the Lassen and Shasta Trinity Forests and connecting visitors to the nearby McArthur-Burney Falls Memorial State Park and Lassen Volcanic National Park.

FLY

The Redding Municipal Airport (1 hour south of McCloud) accommodates United Shuttle commuter airline service connecting with major airlines in San Francisco for points beyond.

The Rogue Valley International-Medford Airport (1 ½ hours north of McCloud) accommodates international and domestic airline service via Alaska Airlines, Delta, United and Allegiant.  Car rental is available inside the main terminal.

Sacramento International Airport is 10 miles northwest of downtown Sacramento, in Sacramento County, California. It is run by the Sacramento County Airport System. Southwest Airlines carries about half the airline passengers.

San Francisco International Airport is an international airport 13 miles south of downtown San Francisco, California, United States, near Millbrae and San Bruno in unincorporated San Mateo County.

Oakland International Airport is five miles south of downtown Oakland, in Alameda County, California. It is owned by the Port of Oakland. It is one of three international airports in the San Francisco Bay Area.

TRAIN

Amtrack station in Dunsmuir is 15 minutes from McCloud where you can catch the north or south bound Coast Starlight passenger train with service from Los Angeles, CA to Seattle, WA via the San Francisco Bay Area.
